AY Vata

Vata is characterized by lightness and changeability so it is grounded by foods and herbs that are nourishing but easy to digest properties as well as moist.  This includes sweet and sour foods like fruits as well as rhizomes and roots such as members of the ginger family, sweet potatoes, carrots, beets, and licorice. Those prone to vata complications can also take shilajit and/or salt that contains minerals like black salt and Himalayan pink salt.
