Kapha is characterized by congestion which can impede circulation and sometimes create blockages.  To overcome the risks, foods that are stimulating help.  Spices are not just savory.:  they make foods easier to digest by triggering the salivary glands and the production of gastric secretions.  Bitter foods work by promoting the flow of bile and reducing the size of nutrients through chemistry.  Astringent foods absorb excess moisture but should be used sparingly.
